Honor, Courage and Commitment

(Quantico '92 - Warrant Officer Basic School  -  Kansas City '99 - Retirement)

A special thanks to all those Patriots who have contributed to this page. This page is dedicated to those warriors who have served, are serving, or will serve our country in uniform. Lots of material was downloaded during the War with Iraq but I believe it is as important today as it was when the war started.

Take a moment to pause and offer prayers to all the brave men and women in uniform who are serving our country.

Pray especially for those brave warriors who have been killed or injured.

Some neat links to enjoy.

Support our troops!  For those people who do not feel we should be fighting for peace, I offer this quote from John Stuart Mill (1806-1873):

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things.

The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse.

The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made so and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

Here's a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation with some photos from the Iraq War.  Lots of moving photos that each say a million words.

When France decided to tuck their tail between their legs and not support our efforts, it was not long before the world knew they were a waste.  Sadly, history indicates that thousands of Americans gave their lives during World War II to liberate France from Hitler.  This tribute is for those who made the ultimate sacrifice during World War II.

Here are the Top 100 Military Pics of all time.  As a history buff and lover of photography, I cherish these images and I hope you will too.  It takes a few minutes to go load this presentation and go through it, but it's well worth it.

Here is just a reminder that all is not sunshine in the desert.  Being in the field isn't exactly "the good life" most of the time. Just in case anyone thinks the troops were having a good time here are a three photos:

Worth Requoting

" Let every nation know . . . whether it wishes us well or ill . . . that we shall pay any price , bear any burden , meet any hardship , support any friend , oppose any foe , to assure the survival and the success of LIBERTY "

 ~ John F. Kennedy ~ January 20, 1961
