Joe Bline Award 2017
Over the years, March Madness in the Bell Family begins with a draft party and in 2017 the draft was again held a Joe Bell's house. As each year's tourney progresses we root for our teams and then hope that our Cinderella stories pan out.
The Inaugural Madness drawing was in 1991. Back in the day, Joe Bline won one game in the first round and left the tourney with "one and done." The Horse's Ass Award was born. Since then the top honors have eluded Joe Bline.
In 2016, as fate would have it, Joe Bline again won the dubious honors with a 2-8 record.
Congratulations to the team of Dan and Nick Bell for riding Villanova to the top and picking an impressive #10 Seed Syracuse who rode the wave to the final 4 and winning the 2016 March Madness Pool and winning the most points for 2016 with a 15-7 record.
